Travelling with Home
This picture book is dedicated to my mother and paternal grandmother. I am deeply appreciative of their unconditional love at all times.
People who have never truly left home carry their hometown with them wherever they travel. This may be heavy, but love itself is heavy.
In moments when I most longed for freedom, I would also recall grandma’s disappointed expression at our parting and the inexpressible longing for my mom.
Reaching the seaside after passing through the long tunnel was not only about the freedom, but also the weight of love left when looking back at them.
