Little Silver Garlic Sprout

The character of Little Silver Garlic Sprout was designed by my illustrator friend, Silverblue 银蓝. Her design was inspired by her love of nature and her beloved Siamese cat, Garlic.

Little Silver Garlic Sprout is Sylvan’s best friend, whom she met on her journey. Together, they swing by the seaside and draw in the sand field.

Little Silver Garlic Sprout has a pet dog named Shirley, who has always stayed by her side and protected her. After Shirley passes away, Little Silver Garlic Sprout and Sylvan travel to the forest where Sylvan was born.

In this forest, those who have passed away are transformed into stone statues, quietly staying behind to accompany and protect the creatures who live there.

And here, they meet Shirley once again.

Hi, I am Yinmei!

I am an illustrator and an art psychotherapy trainee based in Edinburgh.

On this site, you can see my illustrations and my journey as an art therapist trainee. You’ll also find stories about Sylvan, the little cat-lamb, and the world she inhabits. Sylvan is a character I created who lives in my art world alongside her family and friends. Through illustrations, comics, and picture-book stories, I invite you to explore their little world and the stories within it. I hope you enjoy your time here.  :)
